Good Faith Estimate

As of January 1st, 2022, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Why Wild Side Therapy?

“We cannot change anything unless we accept it”.

C.G. Jung

If there is a part of ourselves that we don’t like or have been told is problematic, we often unconsciously reject it, resulting in feeling shame. Doing this creates an ongoing struggle as that part or parts of ourself is alienated. When we refuse to or are afraid to acknowledge these “wild” parts of our personality, they manifest as undesirable reactions, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, and unhelpful thinking.

Wild Side Therapy is about learning to accept all of the facets that make you your unique self. If the parts we reject continue to exist without compassionate and curious observation, they will continue to dominate our lives when we are faced with triggering situations. Acceptance of what may be called “our shadow” is absolutely necessary to change how we relate to these "wild sides” of our personality.

These parts of our personality that we don’t wish others to see are usually an unmet need, an old and unhelpful belief about yourself, or a learned response to your environment - and completely within your power to change and develop compassion for, with some support. Integrating these parts is a process of first accepting them, and then becoming aware of how they influence your thinking and actions, so instead of reacting, you consciously choose to navigate your life with purpose and in alignment with your authentic values.

Wild Side Therapy offers an opportunity to integrate your life experiences so that you can begin the work of uncovering your authentic self. It’s a warm and welcoming experience to grow and heal.

“Someone I loved once gave me
a box full of darkness.

It took me years to understand
that this, too, was a gift.”

Mary Oliver
